Queens Wildlife Center
Located in Flushing, this wildlife center started out as the Flushing Meadows Zoo, built in1968 on the 1964 Worlds' Fair grounds.
Staten Island Zoo
While the large animal collection is modest, there are diverse fish, amphibian reptile and invertebrate exhibits at this zoo. The zoo is available for birthday parties and offers school programs.
